The installation consists of animal-shaped ceramic vessels waterproofed through repeated milk coating and fired in a domestic oven. They surround a polyurethane “milk lake” within a gallery transformed into an apparent oasis. The lighting leaves the scene temporally ambiguous: is it sunrise or sunset, drying or beginning?

These vessels once held, offered, or promised nourishment; now they remain as evidence of absence. Milk operates simultaneously as nourishment, labor, intimacy, and depletion. The vessels are not portraits of a body but records of relationship, asking what remains after provision has ended and how objects retain memory after the body has changed.

Embedded within the installation is the largely unseen labor of bathing, transporting, coating, firing, and constructing. The work considers nourishment not as an inexhaustible condition but as a cycle of provision, depletion, transformation, and renewal.
